PROJECTS

Introduction

Baltic 21 recognises three categories of projects. The concept of Lighthouse projects is a component of the new Strategy Guidelines and has been coined to denote projects designed to demonstrate sustainable development in action. Baltic 21 Labelling assures that a project conforms to the sustainable development goals of Baltic 21. Support of the Baltic 21 Sectors and Joint Actions is being pursued by the Priority projects. On 3-4 November 2005, the SOG 23 Meeting adopted the Guidelines for the Employment of Consultants in the Baltic 21 process, which are intended to outline the employment-related requirements for the consultant before entering into a contractual arrangement.
