PROJECTS

Introduction

During the many years of its work Baltic 21 has developed three categories of projects. The concept of Lighthouse projects was first intriduced as a component of the Strategy Guidelines (2004) and has been coined to denote projects designed to demonstrate sustainable development in action. From 2004 onwards Baltic 21 has given status of a Lighthosue project to 17 projects developed either within a sector or an an ad-hoc Working Group. Tio date, Lighthouse projects mobilised nearly 300 stakeholders across the region.

Baltic 21 Labelling assures that a project conforms to the sustainable development goals of Baltic 21.

Support of the Baltic 21 Sectors and Joint Actions is being pursued by the Priority projects.
